Biography

Jess Shollenberger teaches courses in twentieth-century and contemporary literature, queer theory, and affect studies. Shollenberger鈥檚 current research is focused on queer feminist modernism and minoritarian aesthetics. Their work attends to objects sidelined by queer theory鈥檚 resistance to 鈥渘ormalcy鈥 including domesticity, identity, and the ordinary. Shollenberger has published writing in College LiteratureJacket2South Atlantic Review and elsewhere. Their first book, which examines ordinary queerness in modernist literature, is under contract with Ohio State University Press.
