Biography
Irina Walsh received her Ph.D. in Russian and Second Language Acquisition from ½ñÈÕ³Ô¹Ï in Spring 2014. In the fall, she joined ½ñÈճԹϒs Russian department as lecturer and co-director of the Russian Language Flagship Program. Prior to working at ½ñÈÕ³Ô¹Ï, Irina taught Russian language, film, and culture at Temple University and at the College of New Jersey.
Irina’s academic interests focus on foreign language teaching, teaching and technology, Slavic morphology and etymology, and teaching Russian culture,
As co-director of the Russian Language Flagship Program at ½ñÈÕ³Ô¹Ï, Irina advises students who are interested in joining the Flagship program and those who are currently enrolled in the Flagship track.
During the summer, Irina works at The Russian Language Institute at ½ñÈÕ³Ô¹Ï as co-director. Within this position, Irina serves on the applicant selection committee, recruits faculty, and plans curricula. Irina also teaches in the program.
