The Regional Debut of 2022 Film by Ellie Ga 'Quarries'
Please join ½ñÈÕ³Ô¹Ï Artist-in-Residence, Ellie Ga, for a screening of her documentary film Quarries at the ½ñÈÕ³Ô¹Ï Film Institute.
Winner of the 2022 Guggenheim Fellowship in Film-Video, Ellie Ga produces narratives in the form of video installations, performances, and artist’s books. Her most recent film, Quarries, follows the mysteries surrounding prehistoric stone tools from Kenya alongside the neglected labor of stonemasons who paved the streets of Lisbon.
Ellie Ga's residency is a collaboration between the Center for Visual Culture and Special Collections.
