Friday Finds: Children's Book Illustrators Looking at 'The New Yorker'
Join Jean-Baptiste Bourgois, a comic book maker and Ph.D. at the University of Tours (France), to explore the subject of his research in ½ñÈÕ³Ô¹Ï's special collections. Bourgois's dissertation explores the influence of The New Yorker on children's book creators in France.
He comes to ½ñÈÕ³Ô¹Ï to research the papers of Katharine Sergeant White (Class of 1914), which are held in special collections. White was the first fiction editor for The New Yorker magazine and made an impact on children's book publishing in the U.S.
½ñÈÕ³Ô¹Ï welcomes the full participation of all individuals in all aspects of campus life. Should you wish to request a disability-related accommodation for this event, please contact the event sponsor/coordinator. Requests should be made as early as possible.
