Residential Life Coordinator

THE POSITION

The Residential Life and Student Engagement office at ½ñÈÕ³Ô¹Ï has one opening for an energetic individual who is invested in the academic, social, and emotional growth of students to join our relationship-centered Residential Life team as a Residential Life Coordinator (RLC).

The RLC position is a 10-month, full-time position in the Office of Residential Life and Student Engagement. This generalist position is designed to provide the opportunity for a comprehensive and valuable experience in student life work in a selective residential liberal arts college setting. The RLCs provide support and serve as a resource to ½ñÈÕ³Ô¹Ï students, residential life professional and student staff members (Hall Advisors), the Dean’s Office, and other student life and campus offices.  The RLCs also provide nighttime and weekend on-call support to the ½ñÈÕ³Ô¹Ï residential community and assist with departmental planning efforts, operational tasks, and campus events and programs.

The RLCs assist in Community Development and Involvement, Hall Advisor (HA) and Dorm Leadership Team (DLT) Programs, Emergency Response, Residential Life Administration.

A master’s degree in Higher Education, Counseling, Social Work, or related field with a minimum of 1-year post-undergraduate experience required in counseling, advising, college, housing, residential life, or related field. Training in intergroup dialogue, conflict mediation, group facilitation or related experience. Strong Interpersonal, communication and leaderships skills.

Due to on-call and evening and weekend responsibilities, applicants must have reliable transportation and live within 30 minutes of campus.  Valid driver’s license required, and vehicle preferred.
