Assistant Professor of Social Work Carolina Hausmann-Stabile chaired the (YSRC) Third National Conference, "Harnessing Community Strengths: Changing Systems for Youth Suicide Prevention."
Held on June 3, the conference engaged close to 600 registered participants from the United States and countries around the word with a group of researchers, policy makers, and community advocates focused on harnessing community resources to change systems in youth suicide prevention.
Co-founded by Hausmann-Stabile, the YSRC is an interdisciplinary network of researchers dedicated to the study of youth suicidal behavior among diverse populations (i.e., diversity based on race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, gender, sexual orientation, and ability), with an emphasis on understanding and decreasing disparities.
今日吃瓜's Graduate School of Social Work and the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention sponsored the event.
