Sierra Norman '19 Finishes in Top Five in Miss Idaho USA

At 19 years old, Sierra Norman '19 is the youngest contestant to place in the top five at  this year. Sierra was the fourth runner-up in this year鈥檚 event, which took place on November 4 and 5.

鈥淢y goal this year was to place in the top five, so achieving that feels so amazing! I am so honored to have competed next to such beautiful, talented, successful women,鈥 says Sierra.

Previously, Sierra was first runner-up and the Scholastic Award recipient at Miss Idaho Teen USA 2015 and first runner-up and the Overall Talent and Scholastic Award recipient at Miss Idaho鈥檚 Outstanding Teen 2014. She has been competing in pageants since she was 12 years old and her pageant wins over the years have earned her more than $100,000 in scholarship money.

Over the years, Sierra has used pageants as a platform to highlight her many other interests and passions. In the fourth grade, she created a PB&J Week food drive to collect peanut butter and jelly for hungry children. The drive has been awarded both a  and a Disney Friends For Change Grant and has led to more than 16,500 jars of peanut butter and jelly being donated to food banks. While in high school, Sierra also launched an initiative called 鈥,鈥 a workshop aimed at reducing bullying among teenage girls. In 2013, Sierra was selected by  and the  to represent Idaho as the .
