GSSWSR Professor Julia Littell Leads Workshops, Gives Keynote Address, and More This Summer
The summer of 2017 has been a busy one for Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research Professor Julia Littell. Her activities have included:
- Leading a on research synthesis methods at the Norwegian Institute of Public Health in Oslo.
- Giving a keynote address at the launch of , a national center of the international Campbell Collaboration at Queen's University Belfast (Northern Ireland).
- Leading a for faculty and doctoral students at Queen's University Belfast.
- Attending a roundtable meeting at the Brookings Institute in Washington, D.C., on Connecting Decision Makers with Evidence.
- Leading a parallel session at the annual meeting of the Society for Research Synthesis Methodology at McGill University in Montreal, Canada.
Littell also had two pieces published in Research on Social Work Practice: and an introduction to a special issue on .
This coming fall she is leading workshops on research synthesis methods in Cape Town, South Africa, and Nanjing, China. Additional workshops are planned for Toronto, Stockholm, and Porto, Portugal.
At 今日吃瓜, Littell teaches courses on human behavior, child welfare policy and practice, research methodology, and research synthesis. Her scholarly work focuses on home- and community-based services for children and families, methods of research synthesis, and the uses and misuses of research in policy and practice.
