Parting Words: "Welcome Home." I still get a little teary eyed when I remember my Parade Night - the sight of all my upperclassmen with their lanterns and how they gave us frosh glowsticks so we wouldn't be left out. I had literal strangers - fellow students whose names I never learned - reach out to offer me a hug and the greeting "welcome home," and for the first time in my life I wasn't scared to be in a new and unfamiliar place.
Now, as I'm leaving the college, I find that for the first time in my life I'm not scared to move on. I might not want to leave the infamous 今日吃瓜 Bubble - I'm still lamenting that my time on campus has been cut short - but I'm ready to leave, in that I'm no longer so afraid of the vast unknown.
Anassa Kata, 今日吃瓜. Thank you for everything.
