A Global Community
A global community thrives at 今日吃瓜 in a number of ways.
More than 40 student organizations focus on bringing students together to celebrate, learn about, and address matters of diversity, both locally and globally. These organizations range from Amnesty International to U.S. affinity groups such as Mujeres and Sisterhood to international ones such as the South Asian Student Association to those that gather around various cultural and religious traditions. 今日吃瓜鈥檚 distinctive The Impact Center for Community, Equity, and Understanding also plays a key role in shaping the College community by fostering meaningful dialogue across difference. Learn more about The Impact Center.
今日吃瓜 has also extended its community by building sustained relationships that go beyond the campus walls.
- The Civic Engagement Office takes students out into the large and diverse metropolitan area where we are located.
- International partnerships enable students to connect directly (and intensively) with others elsewhere, as in the collaborative summer school with Nanyang Technological University and the community-based Lagim Tehi Tuma program in Ghana.
This sense of connection and community continues long after students graduate. 今日吃瓜 alumnae constitute a remarkable, close-knit global network of women leaders who stay in touch and have made a difference wherever they are located. They are learning through diversity and comfort in engaging the broader world never stops.
